Mo’honey | “Damn I miss that song” remixes

HOLY MOLY. I was in tears when discovering producer mo’honey. Her deeply touching song magic trick missing features a speech by Porsha O. that goes straight to your heart. Combined with Nina Simone’s Black Is The Color Of My True Love’s Hair it becomes a piece that sends chills down your spine.

Morgynne Tora is from Denver and basically non-existing on the socials. Sadly.

With stand out songs like the one mentioned above and a very comforting edit of Floetry’s Say Yes, I wish she would have treated us to a lot more music. Her SoundCloud mainly features 10-minute remixes with a message. Mo’honey’s last lavender bourbon remix is full of ambient tracks. Think food-for-thought messages on fireplace beats featuring rich violin strings and old school classics by Goapele, Aaliyah, and Tamia. Though the transitions are a little off, the level of “damn this song feels good” is unquestionable.

Another favorite on my list is her 3-year old remix buttermilk, featuring a collaboration with London-based artist M4RISHA (which one can immediately recognize by M4RISHA choosing British singer Emmavie to start the remix with).

Light up the fireplace, dive in, and be cozy!
