JAZ KARIS: this woman will warm your heart. The South London singer has everything to become a household name within the music scene. She studied at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology (like fellow British musicians Amy Winehouse and Adele), is just at the beginning of her twenties, is mesmerizingly beautiful and signed to a female-run record label Salute The Sun Records.
I honestly don’t know what took me so long to find out about her future soul sweetness, but I’m so glad I did.
Her music is subtle, smooth, heartwarming. It’s jazzy. It’s church-like. It’s calming like those old nineties R&B ballads. It has excellent fitting features from artists like TINYMAN, Sillkey, and Afronaut Zu. It’s also perfectly balanced and well-produced, especially for a debut EP that’s in a sense a graduation project. Highly impressive, to say the least. One can only imagine how JAZ KARIS will grow and get even more comfortable with her personal, authentic sound — a journey I do not want to miss!
