Jabair | Feelgood endorphin releasing R&B and baile flips

I’m soon off to Bali for a couple weeks of amazing makan makan, sunset cocktails, long talks with my favorite girl, namaste yoga sessions, beautiful hikes and more future epic moments. To celebrate the anticipation, I’ve been listening to Philadelphia producer Jabair and his bright collection of sunny remixes and reposts.

Jabair’s profile is a mix of baile flips and soulful edits. His reposts include some of my favorite Dutch artists, such as Jengi, Jaël and Wantigga. Jabair himself is responsible for adding exotic flavour to hits like Drugs by Anderson Paak and Janet Jackson’s Lonely. The producer originally started out more housey, as can be heard on his first upload from two years ago – a bouncy version of Amerie’s One Thing with a breakbeat drum pattern. He then slowed down the speed to create more R&B, baile-inspired tracks, resulting in laidback yet upbeat tracks that free those feelgood endorphins.

My personal favorites are the What About Us flip and that nostalgic Grind On Me remix – even 13 years later that song is still life. What are yours?
