The female answer to James Blake has arrived. Meet Dizzy Fae, a St. Paul singer with a voice and a sense of style that left me in awe. A quick look at her Instagram shows that Fae is not only a gifted singer but also a trend icon with her own quirky style – like that hilarious beach body dress. Dizzy Fae has been ready, the day that breakthrough arrives.
Her SoundCloud features just five songs, an amount I’d usually think would be too little for STK. However, with Fae I felt a sense of urgency to introduce her to you before she becomes the talk of the town. Fae earlier toured with American rapstress Lizzo, whose latest video Water Me is a must-watch for all us women (and men).
For her latest single Indica, the nineteen-year-old worked with Minneapolis producer su na (real name Alex Ness). The golden duo earlier collaborated for su na’s 2016 EP Surface. A five-track project featuring Lord Apex, Christine Hoberg and the wonderful Ravyn Lenae. The latter being another booming artist in the contemporary R&B sphere.
